This got me thinking, with an o/u if you open insert snap caps fire both pins then remove forend and thenopen and reassemble What springs are under tension On a Beretta the ejector springs are always compressed when the gun is closed no matter what you do. I went down to the Beretta worlds last week and GMK's resident gunsmith replaced my top locking bar and re-timed the ejectors at the shoot. He dry fired the gun loads of times while working on it, not a snap cap in sight, he also did the same to a few other guns whilst I was there. It’s up to you if you use them, I personally don’t as the snap caps get indented with use so offer no useful purpose after a while, I just leave my cocked.
