kiffy
hi guys, a pretty pointless post really but i had to say something i finally got my SGC yesterday and went and picked my gun up today from south & west country sports in kenfig hill. i dont think it would be possible to find a friendlier more helpfull shop. i cant thank them enough for all their help.. so now im the proud owner of a lanber sporting delux we called in a local farm on the way home to fire a couple of shots of as id never fired a shotgun before... ive been using a pcp air gun for so long i forgot what a kick was like.. and as the only kick im used to is from a 12lb air arms springer a 12 guage is a shock. just after id got home i had a call form one of may mates asking if i wanted to go out with him and his mate... be rude to say no i thought... as expected i didnt hit a thing (and didnt want to try anything other than a very close shot anyway due to my being a shotgun virgin) but my mates mate gave me a 50gramm number 3 to try on a sheet of corrugated iron, **** what a kick... the damn things a monster! my shoulders dead.. i gota get me a box of those anyway i just felt like saying how in love i am with shotguns after just one day... a real steep learning curve ahead of me as im so used to airguns but i cant wait! steve

Congratulations, i suggest you get to a clay ground for some practice ASAP (BTW dont shoot 5og loads there!) SHotguns are totally different to rilfes and air rifles SW2000 and treetops arent far and open during the week. http://www.clayshooting2000.co.uk/ http://www.treetops-sporting.co.uk/site/

Lord Geordie
Done a few 66g loads three and a half inch magnums now they were fun. Yeah a kick but still not too severe. I have 50g BB's incase I see Charlie when out and about. I think the 10 bore and 8 bore boys have concrete shoulders to use those canons :o
steve_b_wales
Hi mate. Glad you got finally got your SGC. Not bad waiting time either. Shotgun shooting is a different world, as is centrefire rifle. Go out and practice and enjoy your new found sport! Steve.
