aister
i use an extended teague 1/4 and either a flush fitting skeet or 1/2 for sporting when using my over and under.
bicykillgaz
What is the benefit in an extended choke?
Chris Bb
You can change or tighten them by hand without needing a key. (null)
Paul T
What is the benefit in an extended choke? You can change or tighten them by hand without needing a key. (null) Tightening by hand is one, but I believe the main advantage is that the taper is longer so (alledgedly) it gives a more even pattern. I used to mix extended and flush (1/4 and half), but the extended was always a jet black mess after a round. Then I bought an extended and ported 1/4 and now both are a jet black mess
aister
my reason for buying an extended choke was a friend of mine was out shooting geese and his choke came loose and burst the end of the barrel so i got an extended one for my sx3 so that when i am out in the field i can go without a key and i can also check it easily just for peace of mind.
