bodach
around 1000 pinks in at holy island over past few days Out last night low tide 8.30pm large skien came over they started to whittle wings and start to drop in from 500 feet, changed minds and left for pastures new, sat waiting for the duck to flight that I could see sitting on the firth, they never lifted and left the beach about 8.35. The usual batroom call 3am ans sure enough I could hear the pinks going over the house, looks like main migration has arrived. Bod

Zulu
Yesterday i was on the laptop as usual when I heard what I thought were Pinks going over , rushed outside and asked the neighbour who was stood having a fag had some Geese gone over , no he says. So goes back in and resumed on laptop where I was viewing the Loch of The Lowes webcam ( Osprey nest from earlier this yr ) , and sure enough the Geese clamour was background noise from the loch . john12
Has anyone seen any pinks moving about? I would have thought this big moon should get things moving about. Went out last night to walk the dogs and there was several hundred greys heading over. Very high but lovely to see.
