well my m8 said about the blue moon today on the way to the farm ,he said there's 2 full moons in one month ,i said no ,its all because of the religion has changed the times ,we still only have 1 full moon every 28 days ,its just because the times are all messed up ,this is why we have a leap year ,and all day we were losing things ,it was like the twilight zone ,first my crow caller went missing ,looked everywhere twice ? then we lost a cradle ,then we couldn't hit the pigeons lol only had 5 !! seemed to have loads of phone calls then i found my caller and then the cradle ,b******y blue moon lol i was glad to be home

It is normal for pigeons to be breeding around now, you tend to see a lot of young newly fledged birds around October, however I have also seen moorhen chicks of a couple of days old just a week ago along with mallard chicks of under a week old which seems very strange..I also saw about 2 weeks ago 3 wild broods of pheasants under a week old, although not very successful with no more than 5 chicks each, one brood of 3 chicks seemed to be no more than two days old! It must be because of the heavy rainfall birds are hacing to breed again.

there's a lot of young pigeons around now. possibly a second brood of young which is the norm 2 broods a year. pigeons are still mating and probably laying eggs so possibly a third brood on the way.no wonder some people have shot young pigeons in march/april in recent years. the concerning thing though is ducks, partridges and even pheasants are either breeding late or havin a second clutch. this week whilst riding on the combine for bolting rabbits a hen pheasant with young probably a week old came out. i would expect these chicks to be large poult size by now.maybe it's global warming or something :hmm:
