Guest a.mass
The press are up in arms (no pun intended) about this stunt, the premise being that others will copy. Given that nobody outside the armed forces/Police/special dispensation groups, can legally own a firearm cartridge pistol, I fail to see how it can encourage copy cats. The only other people with such guns are the criminal element, 'gangsas' and the like. If the copy-cat phenomenon does take place then perhaps Derren Brown may perform in one night what this Government has failed to do in 7 years and remove illegal firearms from criminals. It could be argued that he's performing a public service. What I want to know is how has DB managed to get a gun legally? Perhaps he managed to get into the special dispensation category along with vets and lion tamers etc. Rather him than me though.According to the radio this morning, the stunt was carried out in Jersey, which (again according to the radio) has the same gun laws as the UK, so therefore cannot have been a live round. The police apparently inspected everything too. ant..
.223
IM sure it was fake because when he shot into the sand bag im sure an explosion of sand came out of the other side and if there was a bullet in the gun it would not have penertrated all that sand. because my dad has a home made range and the backstop is a sand bunker which has had all sorts of calibre bullets shot into it as his mates use it as well and non go more than 4 inches into it as all can be dug back out.
