I knw this Is a silly question but what's the statistic number of grants processed and issued per day? I knw it differs force to force. my FAC application was 8th in cue 1week ago, should it have been issued by now? Just says Pending issue on system does that mean its been granted? I'm only asking as going on holiday on friday on for a few days + I paid for CZ 455 Thumbhole several weeks ago and dealer wants it collected. Oh and I'm impatient lol

You could work out the figure by looking at the number of certificates issued per year for your area, but it'd be a complete waste of time.

It takes as long as it takes, many things will affect it - such as how many there are that week, how many staff are on holiday/sick etc.

It sounds like it's just waiting to be printed and posted, but it could take a while. The only way you might be able to find out is by asking them, anything else is pure speculation.

If you really need to find out, put in a freedom of information request to the force in question.

If you ask a realistic question they have to answer.

I really don't want to push it see that's the problem Like.I was told my application was 8th in the pile to be processed around a week ago how long does it take to process 8 applications? A week seems quite long

i waited ages for mine about 4 months although ive had it now for some time, best thing is to ring them. my area are really good at giving info over the phone even to the point of " i will have a look to see where it is" then they gave me an approx day that it would be processed this was the same when i put in a variation..

First reply is the best one. The Home Office publish data each year relating to how many certificatesa are on issue, how many are renewed, revoked, granted, etc. It's broken down into individual forces so is easy to work out the daily average.

Just bang 'Firearm and shotgun certifificates on issue 2012' or similar into google.

My recent application was on top of the pile for two weeks before I rang the Registry office manager on her return from holiday and it took her three days to clear her desk of 40 waiting to be checked / signed and posted off.

They were very helpful everytime I rang but ultimately I needed to speak to the manager.

Lewis,

You keep posting very similar threads, whilst I appreciate you are waiting for your certificate, posting numerous threads and asking how long will it take on an internet forum is not going to get you the answer you are chasing. It will arrive when it arrives - be patient, but if you really want to know then ring your FEO or the office manager and ask them politely.

Mike
