luckytrigger
I took my hmr out lamping at the weekend and found that im getting a lot of reflected light off the end of the silencer (its a t8) Lamp im using is a deben mini pro. I swapped the t8 over with the sako ive got on the 22lr and it solved the problem. Would rather use it with the t8 though as its a little quieter. Also tried adjusting the beam when fitted with the t8 but didnt make much of a difference.

Does it make a significant noise reduction over the SAKO mod ? Jonno

Im beginning to think that i might be better off using the sako as to be honest the sako wasnt much noisier than the t8 plus with the sako on it handles much better when shooting from the motor and isnt so bl**dy heavy when having a walk about.. Thanks for the input guys.

Axe
You could also try moving the position of the lamp to the rear of your scope. This helped me alot, but any non-reflective matt finish should help you. A friend of mine has used a bicycle inner tube to good effect.
