The Essex Hunter
What crops are everyone shooting over in winter. I can find much cover to shoot over! So which is the best??? Just ask the farmer what they are planting and when, make a note of the fields and keep an eye on them. Fine to ask on here but it is your land and the more detail you have the easier to make a plan. An example of this is a stubble field that has been left which is still shooting quite well. This being planted with peas next spring and around a 100 acres so I will have a chat to him about setting some bale hides out to give us a better chance due to the land being very hilly, what will happen is the birds will just go and settle on a piece of field you cant cover.
