I thought I'd ask. Is anyone going? I'm thinking about entering the boy in the rally O competition. He let me down at the last scurry so I'm dubious about letting him in on another one.

I'll be the one in Bright pink wellies (naturally) with two chocolate things and a GSD looking thing with a skin condition..

Here's a bit of a summary of what's in store for Country folk this weekend:

- Paddy and the Coursing Crew will be running simulated coursing demos, a Terrier and Lurcher dog show and racing.

- Simon Whitehead of Pakefield Ferrets working ferret display and stand.

- Stephen Hood of Dunhamswood Dogs gun-dog training arena show

- National Organisation of Beaters and Pickers-up have-a-go gun dog scurry.

- Falconry display showing how birds of prey can be trained and used in the field.

- 40 bird clay pigeon shoot competition.

- Laser clay pigeon shooting

- Gun retailers and shooting equipment suppliers, as well as Fishing gear, Country clothing, Equestrian accessories and Game-keeping trade stands.

- Team GB men's double trap shooting gold medallist Peter Wilson is attending on Sunday 14th - find him in the Main Hall between 11:00-3:00 for a meet and greet, photos and a chance to wear a real life GOLD medal!

Are you taking the dogs if you go.....

Tempted to run my oldest in the Scurry just for a bit of fun

I am tempted as I've heard that they're using a dummy launcher. But I'm not sure either of my dogs would do as they were supposed to. The pup doesn't bring to hand yet and the boy has a ruptured ear drum so is on rest, I'm not even sure if he'll be coming. But we'll see on the day.
