secretagentmole
Yesterday, Tragedy! My v block fell into two pieces whilst testing Theodora. As we all know a batch were made with a flaw in this area, mine was one. I phoned Robin up to ask how much a new one was, he sent me two! Two, so now if clumsy clot here manages to break one, I have a spare. But these were sent out yesterday and delivered today, for free! Many people complain about customer service, it is nice to be on the receiving end of proper customer service. They also sent me some batteries, an alignment guide and a chrono connect cable as I keep recommending the 625 mark 4 where it is appropriate! If you want a decent Chrono and someone who believes in looking after you the paying customer, you know where to go!
walshie
It's rare to get good old fashioned customer service these days, and very much appreciated when you do. Who's Robin?

secretagentmole
Wow! Installed the software (free on the Combro site), plugged it in (got an old Dell Latitude laptop it plugs straight in), fired it up and ran a few tests (pen through chrono), works, logs, what a piece of kit, anybody who wants to find out about power curves etc ought to buy a Combro and the connecting cable (£12, only £12, cheap as deep fried potato pieces)! Stuntman
I use the mk4 aswell, cracking bit of kit. I shot straight through it (kernob) and I thought it was dead, sent to combro and it was fully repaired and returned for £7.50. Great customer service And a cracking bit of kit
secretagentmole
You know it is funny, but everybody says Combro has great customer service. I can recommend the data logging cable though! Simple to use, confirmation sound, warning (FAC) sound, text logging so you can haul the data into spreadsheets! Stuntman
Do you have to reset the chrono after every shot manually with the data cable or can you do it via the laptop?
secretagentmole
No, logs data automatically, you fire it sends data to the pc, saves, no need to press a button at all! So easy even Mole could do a 96 shot string in under 15 minutes, including reloading! Just wait for the confirmation sound (I do not know if you have to, I just did)! secretagentmole
You sure you don't work for them ... or what are you after now? I do not work for them, but Chrono Connect charge £20 for the same sort of thing, the software on the Combro website is dead easy to use! I don't think there is anything else they can send me now other than a new Combro, and I have one of them so don't need another. It is just nice to find great customer care though!
