Cranfield
First thing in the morning and just before dark, if you are stalking. On warm, dry days they will usually be above ground and feeding during the middle of the day. If your shoot has some good cover areas, its worth walking through and seeing what runs out. lurcherboy
 Never let work come between you and shooting, but if it does and you are are on the air rifle, buy a Gen 1 scope you won't regret it LB

pin
I will assume you don't know that "gen1" refers to a first generation night vision riflescope. First generation scopes are reasonably old tech, but for air rifles they are perfect, the best thing about them is they are quite cheap these days. The obvious advantage there is you can hunt mr hoppy in the dark, thus meaning you can go after work  All about nightvision and what gen1 really means (as well as the newer ones) here http://www.nightvisiongear.co.uk/aboutnve.htm
BERT
First thing in the morning before people awake to disturb them (Foggy days or a heavy dew are best, rabbits don't drink out of ponds etc they get their water from their food so go out when grass is still damp with dew as they will make the most of the water)
Pedro
First thing in the morning before people awake to disturb them (Foggy days or a heavy dew are best, rabbits don't drink out of ponds etc they get their water from their food so go out when grass is still damp with dew as they will make the most of the water) I didn't know that, all the one's I shoot have access to water, so I just presumed that's where they went. You learn something every day By the way, I always shoot at dusk on the windiest days possible. P.
pin
As a general rule rabbits hate water, they can swim but they hate it. That said I have a 3yo English called Shearer (ok I am a Geordie I had to) who loves the water, but I think he's a bit daft like his namesake

lurcherboy
Gen 1 is good for 30-50 yards depending on what level of infrared illumination you plumb for and even further when searching for wayward night time ramblers LB
