roundy
Now I know this has probably been asked before, but I've tried Google'ing and searching on here and I've drawn a blank... But, does anyone know of a range that is open to the public for rimfire? I want to get some range time with the HMR as the only suitable stretch of land with a decent back stop for target shooting is knee deep in water this time of year! I am in Hampshire but willing to travel a bit...
jamiedenny
There are 3 or 4 in Wiltshire if your willing to travel that far.
deershooter
.17HMR is too fast for most gallery ranges so you need to find a full bore range Deershooter
HDAV
Probably need to join something like http://www.christchurchgunclub.org/ there is another shooting forum that has a great map available with markers placed by memebrs

DaveK
I assume your FAC is conditioned for target shooting? Just a thought.
ozzy518
I would imagine that he would be covered on his FAC by the bit that goes, "And for zeroing on ranges and land " etc
MiLisCer
I would imagine that he would be covered on his FAC by the bit that goes, "And for zeroing on ranges and land " etc That does not cover you for target shooting.

Muddy Funker
I would imagine that he would be covered on his FAC by the bit that goes, "And for zeroing on ranges and land " etc This condition always makes me chuckle, so zeroing unless I'm doing it wrong involves shooting at a target, what if it takes me 50 shots to "zero" the rifle? What if I then knock it and have to go back in a couple of weeks to "zero" the rifle again?
jamiedenny
it would have been helpful if I gave details wouldn't it, I can't remember names but Wiltshire Shooting Centre in Devizes I think its called the arches and probably your best bet as they are full bore in a military bunker Box Shooting ground Chippenham Rifle and Pistol Club Possibly the best shop in the world is Dauntsey Guns - there was talk of a shooting facility but not sure if its happened yet (I live in kent now) good luck
roundy
I know Dauntsey Guns, just down the road from my parents house - that would be ideal if they had a range!
HDAV
The tunnels in Devizes have just been refurbished IIRC and am sure they do pay and play or similar
