its no different other than if a regular problem and they stopped paying their rent due to the disturbance you would be in a mire trying to get them out.

I was more pointing towards someone who takes a rental house on a farm and then complains about agricultural noise would be a bit peculiar, similar to gas guns, tractors and combines working at night, game shooters, livestock, smells etc it'd be completely unreasonable to complain!

Why on earth would someone stop paying rent because of 'natural noise'? I should of done that when I was at Uni and they started digging up the road outside.

Besides that its not too hard to move someone out of a rental property, but that wasn't my point.

I think what we are talking about is moderation game shooting is easy you are only in one place a short space of time but having a pigeon shooter camped on your fence all sunday is pushing things a little for most people. Especially if it turns into everyweek as its a productive field, there is give and take we tend to stay away from houses as its just not worth the hastle, but then round us they complain then call the police.

Yea I suppose, but its no worse than having a gas gun planted in the middle of the field.

As an aside, my non-shooting brother bought a house in the country. On a visit last month I heard shooting in the field behind his house. He swore blind that it was a crop banger as noone shot around his house.

I walked him to his back hedge and pointed out the hide, waved at the shooters who waved back.

My point is that not everyone assumes that a bang is a gun. The shooters were 100 yards from his back hedge and about 130 yards froma golf course. (Mr Rizzini - it was Edenmore golf club im Maralin)

If the ground has been shot in the past without a problem then why not again?

Anyone have any idea what distance you must be from someones property while decoying etc

Just would like to know as on one of the stubbles I shoot theres a house about 100 yards away behind me and I always shoot with my back to the hedge shootin away from the house/hedgerow.

There isn't any requirement to be a certain distance away from a property.

round us they just call the police and say you've been landing lead on their house, hey presto snotty police giving you a hard time. Might just answer why swiss was moaning about the police visiting nearly every time he went out though.

If they are telling the police things that they know aren't true then I think I would be making it known that my solicitor will be sending them a writ for defamation.

If I got a writ of defamation for said scenario I'd be laughing my *** off at the amount of wasted money you're about to spend that'd amount to nothing.

I didn't actually say that I'd actually issue one though. Threats of legal action are often a very good way of getting people to question what they are doing.
