borich
Has anyone had much experience with the Freelander 2.2 TD4 in terms of lamping with a .22 rimfire and how it performs off road in muddy fields etc. I'm thinking of splashing out on a 2008 Freelander 2.2 TD4. It will also be used on the long motorway trip from Kent to Cornwall to see my parents and I have shooting land in Cornwall. It would also need to carry all my guns and decoying equipment when I'm out on the pigeons . Borich
B725
It is a great car its the best of 5 landrovers that I have had, the terrain response will help you but just remember what tyres you have on as a lot have road tyres fitted.Long drives are a breeze.I can get all my shooting gear including the dog in the back hope this helps. gunner269
I have an 07 Freelander, best shooting van I've ever had. Yes you'll get a pram in the boot, if its not a doyble one. You may have to stand it upright if it's large though as the boot isn't huge. With the seats folded I can get two sets of Pigeon gear in. gunner269
Yes I do, the mirrors are large enough to rest the rifle on using a rest made from pipe insulation. There are two power outlets, so the one shooting sits in the front seat and the other with the lamp sits in the back.
gunner269
As to motorway driving, if I don't push it too much, under 80, I get 43 on a run.
