Hopper Bopper
Evening all, I understand that turmeric can be used as a binding agent for dogs that are pooing loose. if this is the case how much would you advise with say 1 mug of kibble. my ess is 6 months old, 13 kg and definitely loose at the moment. All thoughts welcomed. ATB HB

apache
Or find out what is wrong with the dog! Loose stools are usually related to parasitic or bacterial infections in these young dogs.
Man-o-woods
Personally I would say you are feeding the wrong food, Maybe to much protein. But as suggested plain boiled rice will help. but it it persists I would go and see the vet.
bi9johnny
First trip to vet then decide which remedy is needed. Nothing wrong with my lad but he gets a few charcoal viv cya a day too. Perfect poo

She is up to date on worming etc. But she does like to pick up all sorts of rubbish when we are out HB Personally I would say you are feeding the wrong food, Maybe to much protein. She is still on skinners field and trial puppy - but this changes any way when new bag of crunch arives in post. Millomite
Has she always been like this or has it just started? If she's normally fine then it's not the food. If it has just started, get her to the vets just to be on the safe side mate. Especially if you've been round Sherwood or Clumber Park: http://www.aht.org.uk/sci
Hopper Bopper
Thank you for all the replies to date. I starved her for 36 hours then fed her boiled rice and chicken for a couple of days. All clear now i am pleased to say but she did poo a piece of green plastic covered in something? I keep a good eye on her. Many thanks for all your support. HB
