shootthepigeon
appreciate this is a long shot but does anyone know anybody who may have misplaced a Goshawk in the South Yorkshire area? if not any ideas how to capture it? registered its siting with the IBR. Cant get any closer than 10yds to it. Got a red ring on leg and leg cuff on but no jessies. Appreciate any feed back before it eats all mi rabbits/pigeons!!! FalconFN
Amazing birds - but I wouldn't want one on my arm without a decent glove! I would try local BOP group, they may have heard of a lost one or at the least hold on to it for a while.

Actionpigeons
Get a dead rabbit or pigeon and tie it on to about 5 yards of stongish string. Throw it towards the Gos and it should come down onto it. Make your way in slowly and put a bit of string threw one of the eyelets on its leg and then you are better letting it have its fill, when its had it fill pick it up with the string on to your glove. If you need any more advice drop me an email and I will send you my number. There are lots of ways of catching hawks but a bit longwinded to explain by mail. ayrshiretaxidermy
Google IFF, its the biggest falconry forum, and post your sighting on there. Someone should be able to help.
