keeper23
hi all i was wondering whether any other syndicate could match what i observed last weekend on my local game syndicate. at lunch me and a friend sat and counted how many father and sons/daughters where there either shooting or beating. out of a 12 gun syndicate there were 8. some of these had two sons. it was a great feeling to know the next generation are keen and being taught the proper way. this is the shoot were i started so is only right to encourage others. it can be a nightmare trying to organise the kids and some adults in the beating line but they are all keen and willing to listen. be good to hear if anyone else is like this. screwie
My lad has been out beating/picking up around 20 times so far this season which isn't bad considering he is only 15 weeks old!!!

12borejimbo
Our shoot is very family orientated. Many people bring their sons/daughters, you are right, it can be a right pain, but when it goes right very rewarding.

silver pigeon 3
We normally have about 4 kids in the beating line, including my eldest who is 11. Can't wait until my twins who are 7 start coming probably next season. That's the way it should be and it keeps it going for further generations.
