went out last night for few rabbits just after dark got there for 6.00pm and first few rabbits were well out into field first 3 shots and bagged 3 rabbits good start me thinks made my way around picking up the odd rabbit then arrived at our fox field which is fox central having spotted ten individual foxes at same time in it,pulled into field quick scan with nv spotted two up on a rise in field walked out 50 yards and put down my foxpro and settled back down on the quad playing a rabbit distress call on foxpro quick look saw a fox steaming in .picked up rifle and watched him mooching around for where noise was coming from to within 5 yards ov caller and sat down .placed crosshairs between the eyes and cleanly dispatched .quick scan saw other one still sniffing around field but he wouldnt come just kept turning around so i left to some more fields then came back a hour later ,quick look and there was 2 foxes again tried the rabbit call nothing so tried vixen mating call no sooner had i pressed it on ,one of the foxes raced in stopping where previous fox had again quick shot between eyes and down he went.the other one was still on bank so tried a dog fox mating call and it started moving in although hesitantly and circling i put volume up and down a bit to vary call and eventually he started to hurriedly come in then i think he got scent or spooked and ran off to my left at about 40 yards at a trot tried to stop him with a squeek but he wasnt having it so no shot..he circled around eventually settling back up on bank,i left him and will return in couple days when i postion highseat in that area and sit out for them.
