Deben Lithium Ion Difference

Hi

Ive read all the info on this site regarding the Deben Lithium Ion packs, and cant seem to find an answer i need.

Im running a Lightforce 170 at present with an old Deben twin 7.2ah belt pack (acid batteries) with a 100w bulb (no dimmer).

Can anyone help to tell me the difference between the 14ah and 22ah Lithium Ion batteries ? How long will they last in comparison to each other with a 100w bulb. The difference in price is quite a bit so im swayed by the 14ah - but whats the main diffs. Also see the Wildhunter reviews on here are good ??

Looking to buy one asap so any help appreciated.

Many thanks

I have the 170 lamp and have been using the 22amp for a while now roughly one and a half hours on a full charge, not cheap to buy but saves a lot of hassle much lighter than the lead acid I used to get around 20 minutes use from the 7.2 lead acid so would need five for an hour and a half, hours of charging and changing batteries.

if you are walking......

try looking for an aurora 600, just ordered one from lights castle in china.

2 hrs plus on high with a single 18650. beam good to 150-200yds

(and weighs about 8 oz!) with a bit of useable spill for spotting eyes.

easily mounted onto scope as 1 inch body in parts

will post a few pics when it arrives.

Thanks for the responses guys.

Decided in the end to stay with 2 new lead batteries direct from Deben, but upgraded the 2 7.2ah battereis to 2 new 9ah batteries ging me 18ah. 2 Deben batteries cam in at £50. Treated myself to a new bulb too with the £150-£180 i saved not going lithium.

Out lamping tomorrow night, so fingers crossed the new batteries will do the trick.

Many thanks

if you are walking then swap the lightforce for a LED torch type lamp and you won't look back, save the lightforce for lamping from a vehicle where you have an easy power supply

Yes al4x, its mainly for walking as dont have a 4x4. Dotn really want to get rid of the Lightforce set up as ive spent good money and lots of time modding it !
