billytheghillie
Anyone fitted one to there gun?the one that you file down to size? if so was it easy to fit and does it really help with the recoil. cheers
the enigma
I fitted one to my hmr,as I found the cz american stock a bit small for me. It's dead easy to fit, I had no problems filing it down. I can't really comment about recoil though. SakoQuad
presume you refer to the adjustable butt pad? If so they are easy to fit. Aluminium plate files down very easily. Will almost certainly need new screw holes into stock end, suggest you drill pilot holes to avoid any risk of splitting the stock. Protect stock by wrapping several turns of masking tape around it so you don't file / mark the stock as you get close. At the point where I was starting to file the tape I took the pad off and finished it with some coarse then finer sand paper. I don't know about helping with recoil as only fitted to air and .22 rifles as I wanted it for the ability to adjust rather than any recoil properties. Albert 888
Same as above fitted to my hw 95 .Will be fitting one on my cz 455 next. To be honest i dont think it would work that well at reducing recoil,i use to set the mount up.
