30-6
Thinking of getting some hypa's so as to save putting dead birds in the freezer to start the day off. So will they attract on a still windless day (obviously better on a windy day i know giving movement), on a bouncer and magnet ?, does the whirling of the magnet alone create enough "wind" to produce movement ? Jesse James
Have used mine on windless days and totally worked for me. And as said on pigeon magent the force of rotation moves them and yes they work, Have Had mine 2 half years now . linny
hypa flaps are great on a magnet no so good if the wind is high. but you need a bit of wind if you have them on a bouncer to get them to flap. i have used these for quite some years now and still like them. some times i have not bothered to put dead on the magnet as these are working well and some times they seem to put birds off but most of the time they are good

Tod
they work fine with no wind, just the speed of the magnet is enough, i find if its too windy they dont work as good and can snap the wing bars.
Alanl50
It all depends on the day Ive been using them for 3 years and sometimes they will pull other time they wont there is no substitute for the real deal. I always take a few thawed pigeons with me, you will find its normally the young birds that will fall for decoys easily but the more mature take more convincing. Cosd
Yes they do but you need a speed controller as well to get the flaps right dependant on wind and your magnet. Cos
chrispti
As above, persevere with the dead birds, they are the best decoys.
brendy73
it dosnt take very much wind for them to work, less than wot it does to get a dead bird moving on a bouncher
