kent
as its traveling to target? no way of allowing anyway and i have never noticed the need anyway. How do you know how much rain a bullet might hit anyway? Wet rounds, action or barrel can be very, very bad news- pressure can sky rocket and i wont do it now. moderators or a bit of insulation tape can help keep the bore dry and a chamois over the action is about the only course of action if you absolutly have to do it
swift
I've shot foxes in the rain with a .17REM and that's with a 25gr bullet going 4000 FPS and made no difference, I was in truck at the time though as I hate getting my rifles wet. seeker
was told that rain usually goes with lower pressures, and lower pressure means flatter trajectory. But probably only relevant at long long range. More effect on the shooter ...
Gobfish
you would think that yer group size would open up....... but I've never noticed any difference
