Livefast123
At the end of the day why are we judging fellow shooters on what gun they want to shoot. Personally I have no love of engraving and grade 6 wood but I can see why somebody would want to own a beautifully made and engineered gun and I can also see why somebody would want to own a more modern piece. Shooting in the UK needs to move into the 21st century so that it can continue to attract new shooters and ensure the hobby we all love is here for our children to enjoy for the next 100 years. Unless people drop this pathetic snobbery / inverted snobbery then the sport is doomed. Each to their own! Mikaveli
Well, to get slightly back on topic, here's a few comments I made on another thread: What does it handle like? Good overall - strangely, despite the barrel being 4" shorter, it's actually half a kilo heavier than the standard Escort. The pistol grip is a tad small for me - I'm about 6'5" with shovel-hands, and there's a lip at the bottom which means hands above an 'XL' glove size will struggle. Only other criticism is that the rear 'ghost ring' sight has quite a lot of play - probably a mm or two - not great for precision shooting with slugs etc. I'm planning to space the gap with some washers. I bought it for PSG as I thought it'd be better than the Escort PS - but to tell the truth, the extra bling doesn't really do anything, and instead, just makes it something I wouldn't take to a clay ground. They're nice and cheap and whether or not they're welcome at a clay ground, the sight setup isn't the best for clays. Yes you can still do it, but a normal ribbed barrel is much better. Yes, I still like the looks of it, but I prefer the standard Escort I sold over the MPA. The sights aren't even great for PSG - maybe for slugs, but even then, they're poor quality. If I could do it all again, I'd buy a Hatsan Escort PS, with a 26" barrel (mine was 28", but semi's have a long action) and maybe fit the pistol grip stock.
