pavman
i sometimes get it with homeloads due i think to dishing of the cup base of old carts which pushes the primer away from the pin, when i check all have a small dink in the primer but it never went off so i am assuming it never hit hard enough
Grandalf
Checked my diary and I did have a problem with my Benelli SBE and Gamebore 3" some time ago. (Two years). Haven't used them since. Get some 3.5" and give it a go. If they work then its not the gun.
Rockers
given the rare chance of a shot, the fact I might have to walk a 1km off shore, the liklihood i will be shooting in a hooligun in the dark wth frostbite guns jamming are not my cup of tea hence switching to a o/u 3 1/2 inch chamber next season. rarely need a third shot and that swing clunk swear is not good for the blood pressure. Grandalf
You have a good point my friend - Which o/u are you thinking of getting? Have been thinking along similar lines myself but I do love the Benelli SBE.

Shoots better now that I've added a patternmaster choke to the 26" barrels. Tight as a tick.
