  1. Bought the new DVD at the cla. It's great and I have to laugh at chris keep forgetting to pump the gun. I had the same problem when I bought a benelli supa nova but I just love it now and it's become my go to gun. Just can't wait for the season to start now.
  2. 6 pairs of waders later i can definatly say that without doubt i will never ever buy another pair of boot foot waders again. ive had a variety of different types from cabelas and they all end up splitting at the crease in the foot from walking. luckily, cabelas do have a good returns policy and although it is a lengthy (approx 10 day) proccess, i have sent mine back for a full refund with absolutly no issues. i even did 30 odd flights in my supermags before they split, i emailed cabelas, went outside and hosed them down, let them dry, sent them back and got a refund. you cant knock that for service!! i now have stocking foot waders with the wader boots as these are actually made for trout fishermen for walking up to the hill lochs and lakes in the the highlands. so far they have been very good this season. the bonus is with the boot being actually laced up, it stays fast in place on your foot when you are up to your knees in mud.
  3. I have a springer and hes ace for wildfowling. the trick is to let them run around a bit rather than walk to heel on the way out to the marsh to get the sting out of their tail. he will sit completely still for hours after that, well apart from his tail which just dosnt stop!. if ive got decoys out, he will not take his eyes off them and just sits waiting until he gets a bird to retreive. im lucky with mine as he is a big lad and equally as big as any lab bitch that ive seen.
  4. army issued goretex is awesome. im lucky because im actually issued it. the new mtp camo pattern is fantastic and blends in with the marsh a lot better than the old green dpm or desert camo did. if you couple the trousers with decent full leather walking/patrol boots and army issued gaiters then you can do away with waders as the whole system is completely water tight but at the same time 100% breathable.
  5. will do probably. i just thought id let someone grab a bargain van. that was the idea anyway. chances are it will still be sat in the drive in 2 years time full up with decoys and fishing gear because at the minute its saving me having to build a shed!
  6. i am asking £1680 for the van. sold as seen.
  7. im located in grimsby, lincolnshire. the ad says offers, obviously i want more than £1680 or id take it back to we buy any car. i am not in a rush to sell or id of got rid by now. im still using it as a daily runner due to it being so good on fuel! hopefully it will be some use to someone as a little work van or handy for putting the dogs in the back.
  8. have for grabs my fiesta van. silver, 1.4tdci, 06 plate 96000miles, taxed last month and got 10mnth mot, does nearly 500miles to £40 of diesel = 50+mpg? bad points are that it cuts/stalls out when putting in reverse sometimes and also when accelerating. the front bumper is also a bit wonky and got a small crack in it at the bottom of the front skirt and the spot lights in the bumper don't work either. this is due to a unavoidable badger on the way home from work one morning 3 years ago! there are a couple of other marks such as a small tear in the roof lining and a couple of stone chips and scuffs on roof and back bumper tailgate. other than that, its a good little van and ive had it since 19000miles with no problems. only reason for sale is because ive got a 5 month old son and I cant put the baby seat in it! ive had it valued at 3 independent garages and they all said its worth 1800-2000 with a forcourt value of 2750+. I took it to webuyanycar.com in Lincoln and they offered me 1680. with these prices in mind im open to sensible offers. pm me your mob number and ill send pics of the van. (I don't have a clue how to put pictures on this forum!) thanks for looking.
  9. i use half choke in my benelli with gambore 36g 3in #3 for duck and 42g 3.5in #1 & bb for geese.
  10. ill second that. get bisons off ebay. i have got some and after starting the season as my spare pair, they soon became my go to first choice. ive spent a fortune on cabelas ones (supermag 1600's and warrior breathables) and although they are very good, they dont take the punishment from walking and the boots end up splitting. i have now used the bison ones for fishing through the summer aswell and they are still going strong! for 50quid you cant go wrong. ill be ordering some more while they are as cheap as they are.
  11. im all set. new waders, got my carts, oiled the gun, even the alarm is set on my phone for the early hours on the 1st!
  12. dont buy one. get a hilux or ranger instead.
  13. i know this is an old post but ive just seen these fabulous pics, it looks really nice there.
  14. might have to order a couple of slabs at this bargain price!
