30-6
Ok, whats the secret, how do you manage with front adjusted parallax at night. During daylight hours when stalking rabbits, you can rangefind and adjust the parallax as needed for a crisp in focus view composed shot. During lamping i'm either using dimmed red filtered lamp or bresser nv with ir filtered lamp to locate rabbits, then shooting with a white cluson masterlite supreme scope mounted lamp. But what i find is with the rabbits being out of focus and trying to fiddle with the front parallax adjustment, i usually end up knocking the lamp out of line or try to shoot at a blurred target. Which is obviously very frustrating as the rabbits either scarper or a miss results, even with a .17 hmr, all under 80 yds i would say. I know proper nv is the answer, but with say the nitesite 200 do you still have to fiddle with the parallax ?, or would a side adjusted parallax be a better option ( easier than a front one to adjust ). stubby
yup, mines set at around 75yds, never touch it, if its blurry then its past 80yds, and being a lazy fec*** I don't shoot as I don't want to walk, retreave that far
jonesbach
Had the same trouble. Solved it by setting at 100yrds and 12x mag. Now I can see and happily shoot anything between 40 - 150yrds without fiddling under the lamp.
