andy_s
Could someone tell me if there's a difference between the 712 and the 712 Raptor? The Raptor's seem to have a nicer looking finish but is this the only difference? I've seen any a fairly cheap 712 for sale and it's only as a rough gun so don't need anything that looks particularly nice. Thanks......Andy. tweedledee
they did a 712 syntwood.plastic wood effect stock, they also do a black synthetic model, then the raptor which has a silver action. the grifone is a higher grade again.... great wee autos, easy cleaned and light enough to carry all day
Bluebarrels
You wont be disappointed with a Franchi Are you buying it from Crawfords ? BB
andy_s
No I saw one advertised on the internet somewhere, can't remember where off hand though. I haven't been in Crawford's for a while though so maybe worth seeing what they've got in before I buy anything.
retromlc
they are excellent auto's,I sold mine because i felt the finish was too shiney for hide work,so changed it,it turns out its my rubbish shooting and inability to sit still!!! andy_s
Well I've bought it. It's not a Raptor, it's the basic model I guess. Should be delivered to my rfd tomorrow or Saturday so hopeful get chance to take it out before Christmas. stu nesling
712 normally had just a black finish and a plastic stock, the raptor was the same gun but with a silver annodised finish. the grifone was same finish as raptor but with real wood and gold inlay. good guns for hide work, use my grifone for most. keep it still it then doesn't matter if its green of silver!! http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php/27959-post-a-pic-of-your-Franchi could be the same as my 712 on here
andy_s
Yeah that's it, looks exactly like the one at the top of your picture. Shot a few pigeons today with it. Got to say I'm pretty impressed. It seems to fire and bit low for me tthough even though it seems to fit me well. Maybe I couple do with some stock shims. Anyone have any they want to sell?
