solz
As the title says, Jus wonder what causes double feeds in a semi auto, as in two cartridges are pushed out of the mag tube instead of one. Is the problem caused my cartridge length? Or a fault spring/catch or so other mechanically failure? Thx Solz Edited December 17, 2012 by solz
BerettaSV10
On certain makes it has been reported using cartridges that are too short ie 65 mm case length, might help if you state what s/a it is.
coyotemaster
On a Remington 1100 it is caused by the interceptor latch/spring malfunctioning. Take it outside and turn it upside down and you should see a small latch that moves up and down when the action is worked. It stops more than one shell from exiting the tube. fenboy
Cartridge length will play a big part , try to use minimum 70 mm .
longgun
I think shell stopper is not working properly. Maybe gummy oils or bent lever and/or bad spring tension. Try to clean the stopper first(wd40 etc). Good luck. Edited December 18, 2012 by longgun
