Rob G
I regularly go on another forum which is going through the same problems(trying to raise money for up keep). An idea which was suggested was to have a logo put on clothing and have cloth badges made up.Another was a raffle to win a days sport with the proceeds going towards costs. rjimmer
There is a certain amount of enjoyment in making your own gear, but when work is available it is probably more economic to buy the ready made job from a supplier you can shout at if it doesn't come up to scratch. Not to mention the opportunity to lambast them on sites like this. Deako's product looks a nice neat job. Haven't had a close look at Will's, but the speed controller feature looks attractive. Is it variable or just a couple of speeds? I suppose 4 decoys with the 4 arm rotor would put people off, price-wise. Some of us allready have batteries and chargers, though. There was a chap at the Game Fair with a sensible alternative to the 4 spike foot-base. It was a single wide spike that would go into a crack in our sun-baked clay soils. I still think there is scope for making a rotor that would work in a light wind without the need of a power source. Why doesn't somebody start a thread on how to make, or get hold of, a decent non-toxic shot. £32.00 a box for something to match lead, together with the coming ban on night shooting, is going to finish my duck shooting for good. Yorkshire Pudding
Gentlemen (and i use the term very loosely in relation to some of you "fella's" ) The topic started as a gag between 2 bloke's . Some folks need to lighten up a bit and have a laff from time to time, otherwise you'll go as bald as a badger. (why do folks say as bald as a badger as to my mind badgers are stinky vicious hairy critters ) all the best yis yp
