Big Mat
im on my 5th pair of waders and the current ones seam to be the best which are legeda 4mm. Had 4mm and 5mm neoprene chest waders. The kowala 5mm are warm but the boots are poor and fail.diawa 4mm good fit boots and stiching fail, the 4mm legeda at the moment seam to be best they have a fair bit of streatch to the the legs are long to suit taller people and has handy pockets, also as it has straps istead of full body and you can wear a cartridge belt under the waders and still gain access to your ammo. They arnt the cheapest at £65 but my 6th pair will be legeda. I do wear them and use them, dont just talk about it. If you go out a lot expect to buy a pair of waders every year. thigh waders will get you wet and inconveniance others. I know all about thigh waders getting you wet, but how do they inconvenience others?
longboots
My prologics breathable chest waders gave up the ghost this year so brought a pair of scierra breathable boot foot chest waders from fishtec £70.00 in sale ,then cut the boots off the prologics and wear the top part of them over the top of the scierra to give a bit more protection work great and still breathable. Albert 888
I know all about thigh waders getting you wet, but how do they inconvenience others? If you take someone out who is wearing thigh wadders a short walk to said spots turns out to be a long walk. Also you cant sit in water with thigh waders. I should not worry Matt as where you go you could put bread bags over your shoes and still keep dry
Yoggy
The lack of good Fowling gear in this country does amaze me really. Of course we can never compete with the likes of the U.S and such but after all we are an Island and we do have a few thousand wildfowlers. You would honestly think that most Shooting shops would sell more appropriate gear. Yes, we have a few outlets, Pro D&G, Tidepool, Whistling-wings etc.... but overall the actual choice we have as Fowlers is pretty poor in my opinion. The EA have now put extra "Banks" up and they seem to be doing an excellent job. So full marks to them in being positive.
Yoggy
As far as Waders go I`m not a big fan of neoprene. Yes, its quite comfortable and does keep you warm but since wearing Nylo stretch Waders I wont be going back to standard neoprene,. The Nylo ones are far stronger in my opinion. All I wear under them is a thick pair of long johns. These keep me lovely and warm. Here are the ones I`ve got.. http://www.johnforsey.co.uk/wildfowling_waders_max4-nylo-stretch.html Edited December 30, 2012 by Yoggy
