I suspect Catamong has the best answer. If you go look at the rape the leaves will tell if Woody's been feeding or not. A different kind of nibble to rabbits and hares. Rape might come into it's own once we've had a few frosts and there's limited options elsewhere that's if it hasn't grown too high by then. Its harsh round here at the moment.........set up last weekend in a field thats got winter barley on it and is surrounded by oaks..................but nothing........................
