gazyapp
Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to put this so please move if needed. I bought me girlfriend a dslr camera for Xmas as she is getting quite keen on photography. We have been to the local deer park aswell as nature reserves but she wants to try and get some pics of wild deer etc. My shooting land only holds one or two, at best and they are normally in the thicket!! I just wondered wether anyone on here that's local has any land with a fair few deer or hares that he could get some pictures of?? I can offer beer and maybe a couple days walk about on my permission with shotguns. I live in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire so anywhere near here would be great. Thanks for looking

OddJob
Get on the public footpaths out in the sticks. It's amazing what you will find when just out for a walk, even better for photography. I speak from experience having done just that myself, even did it once for a magazine shoot.
Katash
Try a local deer park - they will surely be more tame

SSS
Cannock chase is a good place to start or try a trip over to Bradgate Park in Leicestershire.
gazyapp
Again these look like nature reserves etc. she's trying to get local pictures of truly wild deer not in some park with loads of people and kids about. I think we will try the footpath approach
oscarsdad
Although I don't have deer permission near me, if you popped over my way towards Meriden there are loads of deer around the edges of the estate here which can be seen from the footpaths (or through the estate as I have a pass for fishing there) - they are not all truly wild but effectively are wild and don't look like they are in a park. I see them in woods regularly when out with my dogs and there would certainly be some good photo opportunities. It is not a deer park but a private estate with no one walking around. SSS
The deer on Cannock chase are 'truly wild'... Best of luck to you!
scraptofthillfarm
We have 250 acres of mainly arable and 30 odd acres of woodland on the edge of leicester. you won't see any deer, but you might see the odd hare, and I would be more than happy for you to come over. Cheers Will
