JustJon
Hi, Daft question. I remember a friend had a cocker bitch who was about three quarters up to my knee. Lots that I see as parents of advertised pups seem bigger than this. Is there a lot of variation in the breed, am I mis remembering or am I missing something? kent
Depends on the length of the owners legs I suppose

PERCE
Just like the colours, cockers can be any shape, any size. Prefer the smaller ones myself.
JustJon
Anyway to make sure when looking that you're getting a small one? Any names in the pedigree that suggest smaller breeding? Or just look at the parents?

PERCE
I don't think it's as simple as that, bigguns can chuck little uns & visa versa. I own a smallish bitch & put her to a similar size dog, the pup I kept is of similar stature. If you're in the market I think have to look around & talk to people that run & own cockers locally. utectok
Yeh good point but I bet small dogs and bitchs produce more wee pups ?!
