syd Posted January 7, 2013 Report Share Posted January 7, 2013 Hi Everyone I would just like to introduce my self. I have been in and out of the hunting scene for years. I started of in hunt service with the essex and suffolk hunt in 1986 and then moved onto the east kent. I learned everything from riding to skinning(slaughtering). I have done a bit of shooting through the years. Some clays in scotland to game in suffolk. I used to have a Patterdale terrier that i ratted several times some years ago. I now have a chocolate cocker spaniel called syd. I have never tried gundog traing before and i think im getting on ok. His recall is good and he has retrevied pigeons on his first shoot which was exciting. I am looking for some more days out with him as hes just turned two. Just to be at the back of the shoot would be good so we could both learn the ways of the beater.
