Yorkhawk67
Ive always dreamed of living on a narrowboat or similar but wondered about securing a gun cabinet for my shotgun and how legal it would be. It's a few years off yet but wondered if anyone knew if it had been done before.

Steel100
Absolutely no reason (from a security point of view) why not. Download the Home Office Security Guidance from the web. It's all about 'layers' of security and perceived risk. Actually, the real issue might revolve more around having a 'permanent' address? I would still have a house too so could register it there.

HDAV
Welded to the hull more secure than most in a house but the boat itself is less so. Oddly I have been in the most expensive narrow boat ever launched, and it wasn't spacious! Edited January 7, 2013 by HDAV
