Cranfield
If you check out their feedback, you will see that about eight customers down, someone has left excellent feedback on, what looks like, the same scopes you are looking at. Also note the "Buy Now" price they paid, which may help you decide how high to bid. I have bought a few items that have come from Hong Kong and China in the past, all were perfect, but at the cheaper end of the market. Its never the location that bothers me, I do however look back on the feedback very carefully. Make sure that good feedback isn't mainly purchases made by the Seller, just to boost their feedback ratings. This is a good tool to use when checking feedback, http://www.toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs
pin
Its also important to see what the feedback was for, not just that it was positive. Had this last night with a mate looking at an outboard motor. The seller had 700+ positives but none for anything boat related. That was legit but there are scammers who will sell low value items legitimately to get 40/50 feedback then take someone down with a larger item. I have found feedback from people selling similar scopes and positive feedback through them here is the link to their store http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Royal-Plaza-Captain

SNAKEBITE
THEY ARE NOT TASCO. Infact they are made in similsar factories but branded with Tasco to make mugs buy them! All that "Nike" stuff you buy down the market, these are made by the same people but in the factory next door. Buy bootleg stuff by all means but realise that you are damaging the company whose name they are ripping off. That and the fact that it usually is a bag'o'****e so don't be disapointed when it falls apart in your hand!
dazzyboi
They dont look like scammers though do they?? Not with the store and the feedback
pin
Yes, they do. They are selling counterfeit goods trading on the Tasco name. Depends on your definition of scammers, to me they are. If you want a scope with "tasco" written on it and think they can sell them for that price and make money, then fine.

pin
Sounded harsh that last post, wasn't meant to be There are people who would buy such things and be over the moon with them, in fact if it was your first scope it would be very impressive I guess. To recongnise the difference between genuine and copy optics takes a bit of knowledge and some experience, I can see how a novice wouldn't even notice. Cranfield
However, if you don't have the money to buy a genuine tasco scope, these might do until you can save enough. You might also ask yourself, do you do enough shooting to warrant spending the money on a tasco scope ?

Well yes, i do shoot enough, im getting my shotgun home in 2 weeks or so, but i still want to be able to use my air rifle at the same time as i dont want to go blasting my SG everytime i go out shooting, i want to vary it...On the same note i need to apply for my FAC aswel. What i may do is the local gun shops were selling ex-display scopes which i had a look at in store (for £30-£40) with really clear optics. Might pick up one of these for my air rifle as its a hell of alot better than what im using atm. When i get my FAC ill probably not use the air rifle
Cranfield
Why not go to the Gunshop, take a note of the Make and Model details of the scopes on offer and then post the details on here. I'm sure that people will try to guide you towards the best value for money.
Axe
I wouldnt mess about with these at all, particluarly as I can find no refernce on the tasco website for these and the recticle is not one that tasco offer. However, im sure they would do but.... If all you want is a cheap clear scope for a short range airgun then go and buy a set of Nikko Stirling Mount Masters. They come in different mags and sizes but all you need is a 4x32, as the name suggests they also include a set of mounts. When you consider these only cost £19.99 they are a much cheaper and better quality option. I have never been dissapointed with any of the Nikkos I have bought and used. Its my prefered scope for airguns and rimfire at the moment.
