tiercel Posted October 13, 2006 Report Share Posted October 13, 2006 Took a walk down to the edge of the marsh this morning, just to give the GWP a bit of a refresher course in retrieving. First retrieve over a small pill. Threw the dummy about 20 yds past the edge of the pill. Second retrieve pill is about 30 yds wide at this point only managed to reach the other side with the dummy. The open water here all has skim ice on it, less than an hour away there is 60 cm.....2 feet....of snow on the ground, the main highways are closed as are the schools etc. expecting around 30 cm here today. NTTF NTTF, It was a blamy 18 degrees with a light southerly wind. Got home and I could ring my shirt out it was soaking in sweat. The weather is set to continue like this for the weekend as well.
