smilersmiff
Rang my local RFD today as I am after a cheap .410 for vermin control. He has a Webley & Scott .410 bolt action 3 shot ? Apparently 2 cartridges are stored whilst the 3rd is kept in the breech ready for firing. I have never heard of this on this gun before I thought they were all single shot ? Can anybody enlighten me ? He also said that it took a 3" cartridge and that it was quite a rare gun.
Lord Geordie
Not rare at all I have seen loads about for sale on the interweb! One shot chambered in the breech and 2 in the magazine. The mag will be welded to the action for SGC rules. You fire your first shot and simply pull the bolt back which ejects the spent cart and draws cart #2 onto the lift. As you push the bolt back forward cart #2 lifts and is inserted into the breech. Simple little affair really! A bit more faffy than a pump action but the same kinda principle. smilersmiff
Thanks for that info, any idea how much they go for as I may well get it if the price is right
39TDS
I was 11 when my Dad bought me one of them. Given some cartridges and sent off out on my own.
RED BEARD
if its tidy enough i'd say between £90 and £150, the single shot ones go for about £
TbirdX
I have a 3 shot norica .410, 2 in the mag and 1 up the spout, just as you describe. Cost £75.
