Carl Rob
Hopefully you should see a picture of a pigeon i breasted earlier. I have no idea what this is, i can only guess that its some kind of tumor. Its quite hard but it cuts with a knife. I'll probably bin this one to be on the safe side. Can anyone tell me what it is? "http://i1300.photobu...ps94212c19.jpg" This picture isn't very clear but i'll take a couple of better ones now. Will post them later. Thanks for looking. Carl Rob
Thanks for looking. It's not very nice. This pic is a bit better (for scientific curiosity) http://i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag94/Carl_123/001_zps06f21be5.jpg My first time trying to cook pigeons (only my second time shooting them). Not a great start lol
Mr pigeon
It's obvious what it is mate. It was so high when you shot it that on its way down past the sun it became partly cooked!! Doesn't look appetising though:-(
Sean Richo
Bet your not in a rush to do the next one
GingerCat
Looks similar to what happens in chicken sometimes, the breast gets too big and the blood supply is cut off near to the breat bone, causes the meat to go green and die. I have seen it a couple of time is large organic chickens but no where else.
chefy
bin it dude  its not nice thats what it is

I have seen it a couple of time is large organic chickens but no where else. The breast was more or less ok except for that thing underneath it. I don't think it was dead flesh since it was quite hard (you can see knife marks in second pic where i poked it a few times). Doesn't matter now though its in the bin
brent52
i had one exactly the same 2 weeks ago, never seen it before in 45yrs shooting
GingerCat
Had it twice in large organic chickens, scarred the willies out if me as it was bright green and not expected. Green like cabbage. If unsure throw it in the bin. Health is important.
