simon6ppc
ive been training my dog on our shoot since the snow as been down and have been seeing fox prints all over the place,so last night me and my farmer mate went for a drive around in his land rover, when we got there ,there were no rabbits out which usually means a fox is about.we just got half way around the field when a fox run past us in the head lights, it stopped around 150 yard away,my mate parked the land rover for the right angle then i took the shot.it was an hart shot which dropped it instantly,it was a old dog fox which looked to have the early signs of mange,so first fox of the year shot with my sako 6ppc rifle... simon6ppc
What weight bullet and fps does that caliber get and is it flat shooting sorry but I've never heard of that caliber before I'm a little curios Rgds scott i use a 58 grain v.max pal, it does around 3,600 fps give or take a bit, they say with a 55 grain bullet it can match the 22.250 for flat shooting, its an american benchrest round which is very accurate , i have used the 6ppc and 22ppc for the last 20 years with brilliant results, cheers simon...also thanks for the replies
