same old begging from a newbee

Recommended Posts

Good morning all

Im sure this sort of post has been on a thousand times before but here goes

I'm desperate to get into more pigeon shooting , having mainly rough shot around my house i had a day over decoy's with a work colleague and it was the most fun you can have wearing camo.

I'd really like to get into it more , have some gear already and am a BASC member but would like to be guided slighty in the jedi ways of decoying and shooting over them.

am on the cheshire /staffs border not a great crop growing area but can easily travel.

this is sounding like a dodgy personals add so i'll leave it at that and hope that some kind soul takes pitty on me and can help.

am happy to buy into syndicates if such a thing exsists

cheers

Hi and welcome to pigeon watch. Have a look at NPPC am a member and am sure there is some land near you it's good value for money if you got nowhere to shoot. Other than that get up and get knocking on some doors that's all I can say am new to the sport myself and you will soon learn that you need to be independent NPPC is a good start for you while you are waiting to secure your own permission but nobody is really going to put themselves out for you regarding permission get off your **** and getting knocking and don't give up if you get a few knockbacks just keep trying am a pain when I want something I generally don't stop until I get it. Only been shooting a few months but got two places near me already through being a pain in the **** and going round every farm knocking. Just keep trying someone will say yes eventually. Good luck pal.

Thanks for all the replies.

well bi9johnny im hoping to bring to the table enthusiasum dedication and a sense of humour im also pretty patient and just like being outdoors. im kind of stuck in the middle of cattle and sheep farming so im trying to get some permissions against crow and jackdaw numbers which id share.

got a 4x4 and some gear, im handy with a chainsaw and dont mind putting in some effort if people are setting up ares to shoot.

i'll look into NPPC cheers

thanks again
