take em
I'm going to make and set up some mallard nesting tubes soon,i just wondered if it was only mallard that used them or does anyone know if other breeds use them?
anser2
In a wild situation mallard are the only ducks likely to use them though in captivity many species will use artifical nest sites. Even mallard can give very mixed results. Once a few females start to use them then it usually starts to snowball and within a few years a lot of female mallard will nest in nesting tubes , but it can take a number of years before this happens.
