peejay Posted February 10, 2013 Report Share Posted February 10, 2013 with the rising cost of fuel im thinking of getting rid of my disco. was wondering if anyone has had a grand vitara in diesel? they look decent, but would appreciate any info. used for family car and shooting, but nothing chalenging in the off road dept.. four-wheel-drive Posted February 10, 2013 Report Share Posted February 10, 2013 The way that I see it most cars that do lots of mpg have two things in common the first is lots of plastic to keep the wait down and lots of electronics that can go wrong if you can afford to buy a newish one you can get good mpg but as they get older they get more expensive to repair in other words sell it on and buy a newer one. bodach Posted February 11, 2013 Report Share Posted February 11, 2013 Don't go with what the book says, mine is a 2008 an 45,000 on the clock and all I get is 31.5 mpg thats on the car computer and actual checking miles to fuel used and I do 50 mile trips most days, don't know were they get the over 40mpg and mine is up an down the A9 not town driving.
