.philmypower.
Hi guys, got one of these on the way for smoking rats, any one got any suggestions of what the best fuel to use would be, was thinking possibly cooking oil what do you think. I know you can buy a proper rat smoker mix but 30quid, there must be something laying around in my shed I can use.
UGM
One of the green keepers at my local golf course uses an old chainsaw with the blade removed and aims the smoke from its exhaust down the rat holes lol
.philmypower.
Yeah I've done that but the saws are noisy and annoying after a days ratting. This unit is for making smoke I'm after advice on what fuel to put in. If I used petrol it would go bang as it gets heated lol.
Dekers
Hi guys, got one of these on the way for smoking rats, any one got any suggestions of what the best fuel to use would be, was thinking possibly cooking oil what do you think. I know you can buy a proper rat smoker mix but 30quid, there must be something laying around in my shed I can use. I've not seen/used these, I use bigger gear on the odd occasion it is needed, (or Fortefog and Coopex) and tend to fill rooms/roof spaces/buildings etc for INSECTS. But be careful here, this is an Insecticidal fogger, that is not rat smoke! There are rat "smoke" formulations you can buy but I've never used them! I can only guess what would happen if you put cooking oil in, if you try let us know.
