sitsinhedges
I've had quite a proportion of scrawny pigeons of late. Strange really as the weather isn't particularly bad
secretagentmole
The ones I shot this evening have a good depth of breast meat!
JDog
Pigeons don't just recover condition over night after a prolonged period of snow. They might take weeks. It is interesting that you found clover, dandelion and other leaves in their crops. If anything will improve their condition until spring drillings come along it will be those items - as opposed to rape.

JDog
Unlikely to be spring wheat and it is far too early for maize as 'buggs' says.
kitchrat
No skinny ones round here, much the opposite, except for the odd sick bird - either OD'd on rape or wounded?
