sitsinhedges
They still gas rabbits etc but use something aluminium based that is safer now I believe.
EMcC
Cymag has been banned for some time now and Phostoxin has replaced it. Cymag was in powder form that turned to Cyanide gas when damp or wet. Phostoxin is in pellet form and works the same way, turns to gas when damp. Dekers
Aluminium phosphide is where we are today, trade names of Phostoxin and Talunex, same thing, different dose size! Â Not seen it used on fox, but common for moles and rats, sometimes rabbits, still VERY nasty stuff! CZ550Kevlar
My permissions use phostoxin in pellet form dispensed from a gun thing, if not done correctly causes huge amount of suffering as you have to ensure you block all holes otherwise it disperses too much. Unfortunately some of the idiot farm hands on some of my permissions block a couple of holes and chuck the pellets in leading to a slow painful death to the rabbits etc.
