Scully
Had a gander through to Barnard Castle the other day and dropped in to see Dennis Steadman, proprietor of F.E.Wilkinson (Guns). In his gun rack there is an absolutely mint(and I'm not exagerating) Section 1 Remington 870 Wingmaster 12 bore, which he is selling for someone for 400 quid.It appears to be unfired in my opinion, and there isn't a mark on it that I could see;no wear, dents, scratches or scuffs. Was sorely tempted but have my sights elsewhere at the moment, plus it is in too good condition for me and I'd be frightened of getting it marked! Someone is going to get one helluva lovely gun,for a cracking price. He can be contacted on 01833 631118.

Hi mate, just read your post on the wing master, i would be interested but as it's a section 1 i assume there are probs. getting it restricted to section 2, any ideas on that. After more web searching it appears that although the actual conversion is simple enough it will have to be re proofed which is going to cost more than it will be worth (******) I think thats right ? ChAoS
Last Summer, I found a gun that I wanted but it was S.1 and I wanted an S.2. The RFD charged me an extra 50 squid to have it crimped and proofed. Regards, Mark.
thepasty
I would love that gun... but... being on FAC I can only have one and something like that is too nice for me to drag through the mud.

Scully
Hi Kev56. The Wingmaster? If it is,then good for you.Lovely gun;I'm very envious!Post us some pic's for everyone to see please, including logo on pistol grip heel and that glossy varnish! I already have one S1 shotgun, and to be honest it wouldn't be much of a problem to get another(have done so in past)but couldn't be ***** with another variation, and Dennis semmed reluctant to send it away for crimping and re-proofing.Had my plastic out and on his desk ready for the payment when I realised that even if it were S2 it's still in too good condition for me....would be terrified to take it out.Did consider buying it to sell on,but sanity prevailed I'm sorry to say!
