ace_of_hearts
There is a nice looking daystate harrier in my local gun shop for £350 with a scope. Single shot only but I guess that can be changed? Why are they so much cheaper than other daystates? Are they any good for hunting or am I better off to keep saving my pennys for a hw100? chrisjpainter
simple: they're an old model! still great rifles though. If it's accurate, it's good enough for hunting. Being a single shot might be a bit of an inconvenience, but it does mean the price is a bit lower. If it was me, i think I would keep the money and get an HW100, but only because of the multishot and it is a much newer gun; there's not much in it. £350 is a good way towards a s/h HW, so I think i'd do that
poguemahone
one of my brothers has one in .22 and they're decent guns, but i think they were less than £350 brand new. i wasn't keen on the single stage trigger, but you get used to it after a while. iirc he gets 50 shots with 10 fps var, or 65 shots with 15 fps var, so decent enough in that dept. team tractor
They were only £300 new about 12 years ago . They come with a different finish like paint instead of blueing . A lot of guys at the ft club used them and were perfectly fine
A-Series
I've still got mine, i got it for my 16th birthday and it's still going strong (im 31 now) it's very easy to shoot nice groups with, nice adjustable two stage trigger! After all these years and not a spot of rust or failed component, but you watch it go bang now I've said that.
jonesbach
Got an earlier daystate lr90 and its never let me down. Single shot but its only the one shot you need with its accuracy.you get used to reloading..!
