To be fair JonathanL is rarely wrong and does talk sense. I know a few people that do this, it's prob a grey area, and are the police really bothered as long as the gun is always in the hands of a legal ticket holder?

 

Maybe a RFD could take money and put into a savings account / scheme and reserve the gun until certificate is obtained. Then complete The transaction.

Have a look for the locked thread in this section where he claims FAC conditions are optional to obey he was completely wrong there and couldn't see it much like this thread.

Much from a legal point of view, and if it went to court I think he could sucsessfully fight the wording of the feo.

 

But we all know what they mean and trying to say on our licenses, but he's picking on the exact wording, what lawyers do in court. People get off for all sorts these days because some legislation etc is worded badly.
